US & other team sports

American leagues reach British punters through operators that translate them into local conventions, and a back-and-lay exchange is one such translation. This section follows how the sports are carried over.

Basketball and American football lead the American list, with baseball and ice hockey next. Kabaddi, floorball, field hockey, water polo, volleyball, handball and esports are the smaller entries. Spreads, totals and player markets replace the plain win-draw-win of football.

No American odds appear in Britain: operators quote fractions or decimals, and turning one into the other is plain arithmetic. Virtual events form a licence category apart: a licensed product, with rules the licence itself does not spell out.
